Sanchita Bhattacharya is a talented Indian playback singer and winner of SA RE GA MA PA 2006 Little Champ. Sanchita was just 14 when she won the singing reality show. The singer hails from West Bengal’s Howrah city. Sanchita’s mother is also a classical singer and the biggest inspiration in her life.
Over the past few years, Sanchita has achieved many big things in her singing career. She participated in reality TV shows like ZEE TV’s Antakshari, Zee TV’s Ek Se Badhkar Ek, Zee TV’s SA RE GA MA PA Challenge 2010, Star Plus’ Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar (2011) and many others. She was a finalist in almost all reality TV shows.
Being a part of such shows helped Sanchita Bhattacharya to become a singing sensation. At a very young age, she got an opportunity to sing in Parliament, awarded only after the Indian legendary singer, late Lata Mangeshkar Ji. The singer has done over 600 music shows in India, and 200+ shows outside India and US, the UK, Dubai, Qatar, West Indies, Jerusalem and other countries.
Mr Rajat Kapoor was impressed with Sanchita’s singing skills. He hired her to sing a song for the film ‘Mithya’and then Bal Ganesha. The singer also sang along with the exceptionally talented singer Asha Bhosle ji in her album ‘Asha & Friends’. Sanchita also lent her voice as a singer for the title track Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 with Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan.
Sanchita has lent her voice as a playback singer for movies Kaanchi, at least 30 Bengali and Tollywood movie songs, and various YouTube platforms and shows. In 2019, she was the Jury member of Zee TV’s Little Champs show.
About her love for singing, singer Sanchita Bhattacharya says, “Singing is in my family, it’s in my blood. My mother is an amazing classical singer. Hearing her sing from the age of 3 motivated me to follow the musical path. After being a part of such incredible award shows, I felt more confident about my vocals. Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with fantastic opportunities so far. I am passionate about my art and want to keep singing more and more in the coming years.”
